Imran stated that on May 2 (Tuesday), his negotiation team, which includes Senator Ali Zafar, Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry, and PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, will meet with the government team.
A national election will take place, and we believe we are prepared for it, he stated. "This is the only way stability will be attained, the economy will flourish, and people's conditions will change."
Imran slammed the government officials for their suggestion to hold elections after enacting the new budget. I feel this has ill motives," he remarked.
To resolve the impasse over the schedule of the elections, the PTI and the government are holding important electoral discussions. On Friday, the two parties agreed to hold what one minister described as the "almost final round" of negotiations on May 2 (Tuesday).
During the second round of negotiations, which took place in Committee Room No. 3 at Parliament House, representatives of the administration and opposition traded suggestions.
Though the development inspired some hope, the dialogue process still seems to be doomed to failure as important figures from both sides stuck to their positions and questioned the point of negotiations if one side did not accept the other's proposal.

"Today, I'm speaking with each of the 15 judges. "The whole country is looking at you," Imran remarked. "The country is watching you. Be a supporter of the Constitution.
You don't realise how near we are to chaos, he continued. What will be left if PDM annihilates the Constitution? Now, all that remains is the jungle law.
The former prime minister emphasised how the nation's top justice and his family were being singled out for attack by leaking information on the families.
In addition, he charged that by supporting the 12 coalition parties, the handlers had broken the Constitution.
Imran urged with the Supreme Court justices towards the end of his speech to "please unite and save the country from mafias gifted to us."
